Job details:

• Role: Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer
• Full-time
• Remote with occasional (1-2 times a year) travel to UK or Latvia
• Duration: 6 months + extension possible

Skills:

• 5+ years AWS experience
• Deep expertise in Core AWS Services (Identity and access management, VPC & Networking, Security and Storage)
• Strong scripting or coding skills in Python, Go, Bash etc.
• IaC CloudFormation, CDK, other IaC tools considered eg Terraform
• Observability (CloudWatch, Grafana)
• Audit logging (AWS CloudTrail, Centralising logging, Log retention and compliance)
• CI/CD Automation and DevOps experience, particularly using Github Actions
• FinOps/AWS cost management experience
• Security governance
• Experience supporting analytics or ML platforms

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS analytics services, AWS Redshift, AWS MWAA, AWS LakeFormation and SageMaker Unified Studio
• Cloud platform network management experience
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Familiarity with AWS ‘well-architected’ framework and other relevant materials
• Exposure to data engineering specific AWS tooling, particularly data-sharing solutions
• AWS Redshift DBA experience
